Job Description
Overview
The SAP MDG Technical Consultant plays a crucial role in implementing and customizing SAP Master Data Governance solutions to optimize data management within the organization. They are responsible for understanding business requirements designing solutions and delivering highquality technical enhancements to meet the organizations data governance needs.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and create technical designs for SAP MDG solutions.
- Configure and customize SAP MDG applications to meet specific data governance needs.
- Develop and maintain data models UI configurations and enhancements using ABAP programming.
- Integrate SAP MDG with other SAP modules and external systems.
- Participate in testing debugging and performance tuning of SAP MDG solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including functional specifications and test plans.
- Provide technical support and resolve issues related to SAP MDG implementations.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure successful project delivery and user adoption.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP MDG trends and best practices to recommend continuous improvements.
- Lead and mentor junior team members in SAP MDG technical aspects.
Required qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Proven experience as an SAP MDG Consultant or similar role in implementing and customizing SAP MDG solutions.
- Indepth knowledge of SAP MDG configuration including data modeling and UI design.
- Proficiency in ABAP programming for custom enhancements and modifications.
- Experience in workflow configuration and rulebased decision tables within SAP MDG.
- Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies and experience with data migration techniques.
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into SAP MDG solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with business stakeholders.
- Relevant SAP certifications in Master Data Governance are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
