Job Description
Overview
As a Senior Video Editor you will play a crucial role in creating highquality visual content that aligns with our organizations brand and messaging. You will be responsible for leading the video editing team ensuring that our video content meets industry standards and resonates with our target audience. Your creativity attention to detail and technical expertise will be essential in delivering engaging video content that enhances our marketing efforts and overall brand presence.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the video editing team providing guidance and mentoring junior editors
- Edit and assemble raw footage into a finished product that aligns with the organizations vision and brand guidelines
- Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and execute video projects ensuring a cohesive and compelling visual narrative
- Utilize motion graphics and visual effects to enhance video content and maintain a high standard of creativity and innovation
- Oversee the postproduction process including color grading audio mixing and finalizing video output for various platforms
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in video editing and production to continuously improve the quality of our video content
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality
- Contribute to the development and implementation of video editing processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and consistency
- Review and provide feedback on junior editors work fostering a collaborative and growthoriented team environment
- Maintain organized file management and adhere to best practices for version control and asset organization
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver video content that meets or exceeds expectations
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for visual storytelling and video content creation
- Ensure that all video content complies with copyright and usage rights following legal and ethical standards
- Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure the proper functioning of editing hardware and software tools
- Contribute to the development of video style guides and standards to maintain consistency across all video content
Required qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Film Production Digital Media or a related field
- Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical proficiency
- Expertise in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- Proficiency in motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects or similar programs
- Indepth understanding of video formats codecs compression and delivery for various platforms
- Solid grasp of color theory and experience with color grading techniques to enhance visual appeal
- Strong storytelling and narrative skills with the ability to translate concepts into compelling visual content
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain highquality standards for all video projects
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Solid understanding of copyright and usage rights for music sound effects and stock footage
- Experience in leading and mentoring a team of video editors providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools to improve video production workflows
- Keen eye for visual composition and a thorough understanding of video aesthetics and design principles
- Knowledge of audio production and mixing techniques to ensure highquality sound in video projects
- Strong problemsolving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently
