Job Description
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret diagnostic imaging to identify abnormalities and determine appropriate diagnoses.
- Consult with other physicians to discuss diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Utilize medical knowledge to recommend further imaging or additional tests if necessary.
- Ensure that patient information is accurately recorded and reported.
- Stay current with advancements in radiology techniques and technologies.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and results.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and safety.
- Supervise and train radiologic technologists and other staff.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of imaging and interpretation.
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards in radiology practice.
Required Qualifications:
- MD in Radiology from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Radiology (DNB/DMRD).
- Valid medical license to practice as a Radiologist.
- Proven experience in interpreting and diagnosing medical imaging.
- Strong understanding of advanced imaging technologies and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
- Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
- Thorough knowledge of radiation safety and protection measures.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary medical team.
- Strong ethical and professional conduct in handling patient information.
- Familiarity with relevant software and technology for image interpretation.
- Experience in supervising and training medical staff is advantageous.
- Compliance with all professional and legal standards for radiology practice.
