Overview
The Senior Oracle EBS OAF Developer plays a crucial role in the design development and implementation of Oracle EBusiness Suite (EBS) applications focusing specifically on Oracle Application Framework (OAF). This position is pivotal in optimizing business processes and enhancing performance through innovative technical solutions. Working closely with crossfunctional teams the developer will ensure that technical requirements align with business objectives and deliver highquality software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills extensive experience in Oracle systems and a deep understanding of business operations. This role is central to maintaining the integrity of the Oracle environment and supporting critical business functions. With the continued expansion of technology within the organization the Senior Oracle EBS OAF Developer will be instrumental in driving digital transformation and supporting the enterprise in achieving its strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and implement Oracle EBS applications using OAF.
- Collaborate with business analysts to gather and document functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architecture.
- Develop custom OAF components and integrations within the Oracle ecosystem.
- Utilize PL/SQL for effective database programming and performance optimization.
- Perform system testing debug applications and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and standards in software development.
- Maintain thorough documentation of technical solutions and processes.
- Support deployment activities including preparation of installation scripts.
- Monitor application performance and implement necessary enhancements.
- Analyze data and provide insights to improve business processes.
- Stay updated with Oracle technologies and propose new functionalities as needed.
- Assist in enduser training and support during system rollout.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless application integrations and data flow.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in Oracle EBS and OAF development.
- Proven expertise in PL/SQL Java and web technologies.
- Experience with the Oracle database and SQL tuning techniques.
- Strong understanding of Oracle EBS modules and functionalities.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Experience in integration tools and middleware technologies.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience in version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
- Certification in Oracle technologies is a plus.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new challenges.
