The DB Expert with PLSQL is a crucial role within our organization tasked with ensuring the reliability and performance of our database management systems. With experience ranging from 6 to 8 years the individual in this position will bring expertise in PLSQL and related technologies to support our datadriven initiatives. The role emphasizes a thorough understanding of database architecture and the ability to optimize SQL queries for enhanced performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust database solutions using PLSQL.
- Optimize SQL queries for enhanced performance and efficiency.
- Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of databases.
- Collaborate with application developers to design and review data models.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure security best practices are followed.
- Manage data migration processes and ensure accuracy throughout.
- Monitor database performance and execute routine maintenance tasks.
- Develop and execute backup and recovery plans.
- Provide expertise in ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes.
- Document database design processes and procedures for reference.
- Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Evaluate and recommend database management tools and technologies.
- Train and mentor junior database staff and team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies related to database management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define database requirements and constraints.
- Resolve issues and provide technical support for databaserelated inquiries.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 68 years of experience in database administration and PLSQL development.
- Proficient in Oracle databases and PLSQL programming.
- Strong knowledge of database design principles and data modeling.
- Experience with performance tuning and SQL optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and practices.
- Problemsolving abilities with a strong analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Understanding of database security protocols and best practices.
- Experience with data migration and transformation tasks.
- Knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
- Experience with various database management tools.
