Overview
The Oracle CPQ Specialist plays a critical role in optimizing the configure price quote (CPQ) process within the organization. This position focuses on maximizing efficiency and accuracy in service and product configurations aiming to enhance the overall customer experience and drive revenue growth. The specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining Oracle CPQ solutions ensuring seamless integration with other systems such as CRM and ERP. Collaboration with sales finance and IT teams is pivotal to achieve business goals and fulfill customer requirements. The Oracle CPQ Specialist must possess a strong analytical mindset and technical expertise to troubleshoot issues and innovate solutions. By ensuring that the pricing models and product configurations are uptodate and accurate this specialist helps the sales team expedite quote generation and improves the conversion rates. Ultimately this position contributes significantly to the organizations competitiveness in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and configure Oracle CPQ solutions.
- Analyze and optimize the CPQ process for efficiency.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align product offerings.
- Integrate CPQ with CRM and ERP systems.
- Develop pricing models and discount strategies.
- Train sales teams on using Oracle CPQ effectively.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for CPQ issues.
- Document configurations and process flows for future reference.
- Monitor system performance and user feedback for improvements.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure data integrity within the system.
- Assess customer requirements and suggest CPQ solutions.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for management review.
- Handle user access and roles within the CPQ system.
- Stay updated on CPQ trends and best practices.
- Participate in project management activities for CPQ initiatives.
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts to enhance CPQ functionality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Business Information Technology or related field.
- 25 years of experience in Oracle CPQ or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing processes.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Experience with system integrations preferably with CRM/ERP.
- Certifications in Oracle CPQ are a plus.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is advantageous.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Understanding of pricing strategies and models.
- Strong organizational skills and selfmotivation.
