Overview
The Middleware Architect plays a crucial role in designing and implementing middleware solutions that facilitate seamless communication between various applications and systems in an organization. With the growing need for integration across heterogeneous environments this position is vital for ensuring optimal performance reliability and scalability of middleware technologies. By leveraging expertise in API design cloud integration and performance tuning the Middleware Architect guides teams in developing robust architectures that enable efficient data flow and process automation. In addition the role involves collaborating with stakeholders to identify integration requirements assess risks and deliver innovative solutions that enhance business operations. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement middleware solutions to ensure efficient data communication.
- Analyse business requirements and define integration strategies.
- Evaluate existing middleware technologies and recommend enhancements.
- Develop APIs and microservices to support application integration.
- Ensure high availability and performance of middleware services.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to deploy middleware solutions.
- Monitor system performance and implement tuning measures as needed.
- Establish security protocols for middleware interactions.
- Document architecture designs configurations and procedures.
- Mentor junior architects and developers on best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments related to middleware solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving middlewarerelated issues.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in middleware architecture and integration.
- Proficient in relevant middleware technologies (e.g. IBM WebSphere Oracle Fusion etc.).
- Strong understanding of API management and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiar with security protocols and best practices.
- Proven experience in performance tuning and optimization.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with various programming languages (Java Python etc.).
- Experience with database technologies and data integration.
- Certifications in relevant middleware technologies are a plus.
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.
