Job Description
This role is for one of the Weekdays clients
As a Full Stack Engineer (PHP) you will work with and manage a crossfunctional team consisting of Backend Engineers Frontend Engineers and QA professionals. You will be responsible for making key technical and product decisions providing direction and mentorship for your team and setting up best practices for engineering. Your focus will be on driving good coding practices maintaining an open and transparent environment and fostering a culture that values speed innovation and the rapid development of effective systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design develop and maintain complex and responsive largescale products.
- Lead technical discussions and make key product decisions that impact the direction of projects.
- Mentor and provide direction to team members ensuring adherence to best engineering practices.
- Drive the adoption of coding standards documentation practices and timely bug fixing to ensure highquality deliverables.
- Create and maintain an open and transparent work environment that encourages innovation and motivates engineers.
- Manage and oversee the work of a team of 5 engineers promoting collaboration and efficient workflow.
- Utilize agile methodologies to ensure effective project management and timely delivery of features.
- Oversee machine learning and AI projects when applicable.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in developing complex and responsive largescale products.
- At least 3 years of experience in an individual contributor role within a productbased startup.
- Proficiency in Python (mandatory).
- Experience with Flask and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of Kubernetes and cloud services (GCP or AWS).
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to design build and work with RESTful Web Services in JSON formats (Flask preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience in managing a team of 5 engineers.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional and distributed teams.
- Proven leadership project management time management and problemsolving skills.
- Attention to detail is essential.
Good to Have:
- Experience with machine learning and AI projects.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript React.js and Redux.
