Job Summary:
As a Sales Executive in the freight forwarding sector your primary responsibility is to generate new business and maintain existing client relationships. You will play a crucial role in promoting and selling the services offered by the freight forwarding company. Your efforts will contribute to the companys growth and success in the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prospecting and Lead Generation:
Identify and target potential clients in various industries that require freight forwarding services.
Generate leads through cold calls email campaigns networking and market research.
Build a robust sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying potential opportunities.
2. Client Engagement:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing clients understanding their logistics needs and providing solutions to meet those needs.
Conduct regular client meetings to ensure client satisfaction and gather feedback.
3. Solution Presentation:
Develop a deep understanding of the companys freight forwarding services including import/export logistics customs clearance documentation and transportation.
Present and demonstrate the companys services to potential clients highlighting their benefits and advantages.
4. Sales Proposals and Negotiation:
Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals including pricing terms and conditions.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure new business while ensuring that the companys profitability is maintained.
5. Market Analysis:
Stay updated on industry trends market dynamics and competitor activities.
Provide market feedback and insights to help the company tailor its services and stay competitive.
6. Sales Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities client interactions and sales pipeline updates.
Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and forecasts.
7. Targets and Quotas:
Meet or exceed monthly quarterly and annual sales targets and quotas set by the company.
8. Collaboration:
Work closely with operations customer service and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and knowledge.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in logistics supply chain management or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
Experience:
Proven 3 yrs experience in customer service preferably in the freight forwarding
Skills and Competencies:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for tracking and documentation.
Knowledge of international shipping customs regulations and incoterms.
Strong problemsolving and organizational abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
