Job Description
This role is for one of the Weekdays clients
We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our team bringing expertise in creating scalable and reliable backend systems that drive exceptional user experiences. If youre passionate about computer science thrive on solving complex problems and have a proactive approach to building robust usercentric products wed love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain backend systems to ensure high performance scalability and security.
- Drive architectural decisions and implement practices that strengthen the tech stack.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to bring innovative solutions from concept to deployment.
- Own the technical roadmap for system components and contribute to the overall backend architecture.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues to continuously improve product reliability.
- Ensure backend systems and APIs are optimized for performance and maintainability.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor s/Master s degree in Computer Science or a related field. A strong passion for computer science principles is key.
- Experience: 16 years of experience solving complex problems and building systems from scratch.
- Proven experience in handling complex systems focusing on scalability sustainability and reliability.
- Demonstrated ability to build secure products that generate high user engagement and satisfaction.
- Familiarity with serverside architecture APIs databases infrastructure and system design.
- Track record of bringing new practices architecture choices and initiatives that enhance the technical stack.
- Ability to independently drive projects and own technical roadmaps for backend systems/components.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in distributed systems cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in backend languages and frameworks (e.g. Java Python Node.js).
- Strong understanding of API design RESTful services and database management (SQL/NoSQL).
