Overview:The Senior Hairdresser plays a pivotal role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of clients through expert hair styling and cutting techniques. This position requires not only advanced hairdressing skills but also the ability to build strong relationships with clients ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. In today s competitive beauty industry a Senior Hairdresser is expected to keep abreast of current trends and styles while providing exceptional customer service. By leading by example this individual also mentors junior staff instills best practices and contributes to a positive salon environment. Their expertise directly influences client satisfaction and retention making them essential to the salons reputation and success.
- Key Responsibilities:Provide expert hair cutting styling and coloring services to clients.
- Consult with clients to determine their hair care needs and desired results.
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends products and techniques.
- Mentor and train junior hairdressers and apprentices.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and salon environment.
- Collaborate with a team to create a welcoming and upbeat atmosphere.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clientele to encourage loyalty.
- Recommend and sell salon products that suit clients hair types.
- Manage customer appointments and ensure timely service delivery.
- Follow health and safety regulations regarding sanitation and cleanliness.

- Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a busy salon environment.
- Proficiency in advanced hair cutting techniques and styling methods.
- Experience with hair coloring highlighting and chemical treatments.
- Strong understanding of hair and scalp health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
