Overview

The HR Intern plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources departments initiatives and objectives within the organization. As an entrylevel position this internship provides valuable opportunities for learning and professional development in various HR functions. Interns will assist with recruiting onboarding employee engagement and other HRrelated activities gaining firsthand experience in the field. By participating in various projects the HR Intern will contribute to the enhancement of workplace culture and employee satisfaction. This role is vital in ensuring that HR processes are efficient and align with organizational goals while also fostering a positive work environment. The position serves as a stepping stone for individuals aspiring to build a career in Human Resources allowing them to gain insights into HR best practices and build a professional network in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings on various platforms.
  • Screen incoming resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews for hiring managers and candidates.
  • Support the onboarding process by preparing welcome materials and conducting orientations.
  • Maintain accurate and updated employee records and databases.
  • Work on employee engagement initiatives and events.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices and industry trends.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for HR meetings.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefit programs.
  • Provide support for performance management activities.
  • Participate in training and development programs.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
  • Help with the management of employee recognition programs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in HR processes.
  • Support HR team with various administrative tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
  • Strong academic performance (GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred).
  • Familiarity with HR principles and practices is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Prior internship or volunteer experience in an office setting is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of employment law and regulations is beneficial.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Availability for a minimum of 1015 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
