You will develop highly optimized software for proofofconcept implementation of automotive IVI cockpit and digital cluster applications on the Renesas RCar SoC devices exploiting GPU a DSP display technologies and virtualized or paravirtualized environments. You will further grow the scope of those libraries for use in generic cockpit and IVI application contexts your main responsibilities will be in the following areas:
- Develop and define IVI and cockpit use cases leveraging RCar SoC and software infrastructure Collaborate with sales automotive product line marketing and applications engineers to generate winning reference software & application demos needed to establish clear dominance through bestinclass overall whole product.
- Enhance capabilities by extending the support of reference applications HW accelerator use cases and other connectivity applications
- Conduct benchmarks related to industry standards emphasizing the competitiveness of our current and future platforms.
- Provide support to our customers as an application engineer to accelerate development of customer solutions and to create easy to use collateral such as application notes and reference solutions.
- Work closely with hardware and software product development organizations to validate the performance of SoC products and optimize various aspects including computation operational and power.
Qualifications :
Overall:
- 10 yearsindustry experience in Embedded system software development using C/Python including low level firmware kernel and user space components on an SoC product comparable to the Renesas RCar family
- Strong handson knowledge of automotive technologies related to cockpit cluster and infotainment systems including graphics audio display and camera technologies
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Android required with knowledge of at least one other automotive operation systems expected (QNX AUTOSAR etc)
- Familiarity with automotive safety concepts including ISO26262 and Freedom from Interference
- Strong knowledge of display and graphics IPs such as: GPUs compositors display pipelines and other related hardware IPs and software frameworks
- Strong knowledge of audio IPs such as: audio DSPs audio connections and related SW frameworks
- Ability to develop and debug on both real hardware as well as simulation and emulation environments
- Software debugging including CLI PCB and applicationlevel debug techniques
- Ability to debug high speed communication interfaces including HW/SW codebug
