Overview

The Presales Consultant (B2B) plays a critical role in the sales process by leveraging technical knowledge and sales expertise to provide clients with tailored solutions that fit their business needs. This position is pivotal in bridging the gap between the sales team and the technical team ensuring that the clients have a clear understanding of product functionalities and how they can be leveraged to solve specific business challenges. By conducting detailed product demonstrations responding to client inquiries and creating compelling presentations the Presales Consultant helps drive engagement and trust ultimately leading to successful sales conversions. Building strong relationships with clients and understanding their pain points is essential as is the ability to articulate the value proposition of the organization s offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and technical specifications.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase product features and capabilities.
  • Develop customized sales presentations tailored to the client s needs.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for proposals and technical specifications.
  • Provide input to the sales strategy and approach based on market research.
  • Engage with clients during the presales stage to gather essential information.
  • Respond promptly to RFPs RFIs and other client inquiries.
  • Assist in the development of pricing strategies in alignment with client expectations.
  • Train sales staff on product offerings and updates.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and product teams to facilitate communications.
  • Gather feedback from clients to inform product development and enhancements.
  • Monitor industry trends to provide insightful suggestions to clients.
  • Ensure alignment of product capabilities with client expectations.
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote company offerings.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders postsale to ensure ongoing satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Marketing or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a presales or B2B sales role.
  • Strong understanding of technical products and services.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in creating and delivering impactful presentations.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients quickly.
  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of market trends within the relevant industry.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and presentations.
  • Experience in clientfacing roles with a focus on relationship management.
  • Understanding of competitive landscape and positioning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
