Job Summary:
A Mechanical Designer is responsible for creating technical designs developing mechanical systems and improving product features. The role involves working closely with engineering teams to ensure that products are designed efficiently meet specifications and adhere to quality standards. Mechanical Designers use CAD (ComputerAided Design) software to develop and modify designs as well as conduct testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and systems using CAD software (AutoCAD.).
Create and revise technical drawings schematics and blueprints based on design specifications.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure that designs meet project requirements and standards.
Participate in product design reviews providing input and recommendations for improvements.
Select appropriate materials and components for mechanical systems and ensure costeffectiveness.
Work with manufacturing teams to ensure that designs can be produced efficiently.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in design materials or processes as they arise. Maintain design documentation version control and standards compliance
Qualifications:
Bachelor s/Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Fusion 360 or similar tools).
Strong understanding of mechanical principles and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills both verbal and written to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
Desired Skills:
Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software.
Knowledge of industry standards (e.g. ISO ASME).
Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques and 3D printing.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Understanding of thermodynamics fluid dynamics and heat transfer principles.
