Job Purpose
The ASM will be responsible for expanding the companys retail business by appointing new dealers and distributors as well as servicing and maintaining relationships with existing ones to maximize sales and revenue growth in the designated area. The role requires strong sales expertise strategic thinking and the ability to drive results through effective management of the dealer network.
Key Responsibilities
1. Dealer/Distributor Network Expansion:
- Identify potential dealers and distributors in the assigned region and build a robust network.
- Appoint new dealers and distributors in line with the company s growth strategies.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and the competitive landscape.
- Develop and implement strategies to target and onboard new retail outlets.
2. Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Achieve sales targets by promoting products to dealers distributors and retailers.
- Develop and execute sales plans to drive revenue growth in the region.
- Monitor and manage the sales performance of appointed dealers to ensure they meet sales targets and KPIs.
- Conduct regular sales visits and follow up with dealers to ensure product availability and increase sales.
3. Relationship Management and Customer Service:
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing dealers and distributors to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Provide excellent postsales service ensuring prompt resolution of issues and concerns.
- Train and guide dealers on the product portfolio sales techniques and promotional campaigns.
- Conduct regular feedback sessions with dealers to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
4. Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor market trends competitor activities and customer preferences to adapt sales strategies.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance market activities competitor analysis and any issues faced.
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and areas of improvement.
5. Promotions and Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns that support sales objectives.
- Organize product demonstrations trade shows and dealer events to increase product awareness.
- Provide feedback to the product development team on customer preferences and market demand.
6. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the operations and logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products to dealers.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve any operational challenges and improve sales efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Marketing or a related field. A Masters degree or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 6 to 7 years of experience in sales within the retail or building materials sector.
- Proven track record in dealer/distributor network management and achieving sales targets.
- Experience in the stone marble or constructionrelated retail business is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with dealers and distributors.
- Excellent negotiation presentation and closing skills.
- Strategic thinking and problemsolving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
- Selfmotivated and goaloriented with a proactive attitude toward achieving sales objectives.
- Knowledge of the marble granite or stone industry would be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Ability to analyze sales data and generate reports using CRM tools.
