Job Description
Overview: The Master Data Management (MDM) Developer plays a crucial role in the integration and management of an organization s data assets. Responsible for designing implementing and maintaining MDM frameworks this position ensures data consistency and accuracy across the organization. The MDM Developer collaborates with crossfunctional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust data management solutions. By leveraging industryleading MDM tools they will help streamline data processes enhance data quality and govern critical data domains. This role is pivotal in ensuring that master data aligns with business strategies thereby enabling effective decisionmaking and operational excellence. The MDM Developer will also support data migration efforts and work on data cleansing initiatives contributing to a holistic data ecosystem that supports business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain MDM solutions according to business requirements.
- Create data models and establish data governance policies for master data management.
- Develop and optimize ETL processes for data integration from various sources.
- Utilize SQL to perform data analysis extraction and manipulation for master data.
- Collaborate with business analysts to gather and document data requirements.
- Coordinate with data stewards to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Integrate APIs for realtime data synchronization between systems.
- Conduct data profiling and quality assessments to identify data issues.
- Support data migration initiatives ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Create and maintain documentation for MDM processes and procedures.
- Monitor MDM systems perform troubleshooting and optimize performance.
- Provide training and support to endusers on MDM tools and practices.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to manage data lifecycle processes.
- Implement data cleansing strategies to enhance data quality.
- Stay updated with MDM trends and best practices to continuously improve systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- 3 years of experience in MDM development or data management roles.
- Proficient in major MDM tools (e.g. Informatica MDM SAP MDM or IBM InfoSphere).
- Strong SQL skills for database analysis and integration tasks.
- Experience in ETL tools and data integration methodologies.
- Solid understanding of data governance and data quality management principles.
- Proficient in data modeling and database design concepts.
- Familiarity with API development and integration techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail with a focus on data integrity and quality.
- Knowledge of industry data standards and best practices.
- Willingness to stay current with advancements in MDM technologies.
- Experience with cloudbased MDM solutions is a plus.
- Certification in data management or MDM tools is an advantage.
