Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Snowflake Data Engineer/Developer to join our team. This role will require you to collaborate with data analysts data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions while taking technical leadership over data projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data analysts data scientists and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Lead the design and implementation of data product migration to the Snowflake platform.
- Architect and develop robust ETL processes to ingest transform and load data from diverse sources into Snowflake.
- Implement best practices for data partitioning clustering and indexing to enhance query performance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers and developers.
- Conduct code reviews ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams to understand data needs and deliver scalable data solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex data issues and improve data pipelines and processes.
- Optimize data workloads to ensure high performance and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 58 years of experience in data engineering with significant expertise in Snowflake.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Handson experience with Snowflake cloud data platform and ETL tools (e.g. Airflow Informatica).
- Proven experience in designing and implementing largescale data migration projects.
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles data architecture and cloud solutions.
- Experience in implementing best practices for data partitioning clustering and indexing for Snowflake.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across crossfunctional teams.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and ensure highquality code is delivered.
Additional Requirements:
- Immediate to 10 days notice period.
- Candidates must not currently hold a permanent offer.
- Should be able to follow the Deloitte validation sheet for the hiring process.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS Azure) is a plus.
- Experience in working with diverse data sources and large data sets.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
