Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Design implement and manage secure network architectures including firewalls VPNs intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and other network security solutions.
Conduct regular network security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify analyze and remediate security risks and vulnerabilities.
Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts taking appropriate action to protect the network and prevent unauthorized access.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to establish and enforce network security policies standards and best practices.
Ensure network security controls comply with industry standards regulations and organizational policies.
Maintain and update network security documentation including diagrams configurations and procedures.
Stay informed about the latest network security threats trends and technologies to ensure the organizations defenses are current and effective.
Provide guidance and training to other team members on network security best practices and procedures.
Qualifications:
25 years of network security experience focusing on designing implementing and managing secure network architectures.
Strong knowledge of network protocols firewall management VPN technologies IDS/IPS systems and network access control.
Familiarity with network security assessment tools such as Wireshark Nmap Nessus or similar.
Experience with network security incident response and troubleshooting.
Prior experience with scripting or programming (e.g. Python Bash PowerShell) is an added advantage.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain network security concepts to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
Relevant certifications (such as CCNA Security CompTIA Security CEH or CISSP) are optional but not required.
