Overview
The BixFix Engineer plays a critical role in the technical support and maintenance of software applications within the organization. This position is essential for ensuring the seamless operation of technology solutions and enhancing user experiences. As a BixFix Engineer you will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues implementing system enhancements and collaborating with crossfunctional teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives. With your deep understanding of the software environment and troubleshooting techniques you will be instrumental in identifying bottlenecks optimizing performance and ensuring that our technology platforms are robust and reliable. Your work will directly influence productivity operational efficiency and overall satisfaction of both internal teams and external clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills technical proficiency and a commitment to delivering highquality support in a fastpaced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve software application issues reported by users.
- Conduct regular system checks and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve existing systems and implement new features.
- Provide technical support for various hardware and software environments.
- Document all troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference.
- Analyze data to identify trends and recurring issues for proactive resolution.
- Manage configuration management processes including version control.
- Communicate effectively with endusers to guide them through problemsolving steps.
- Develop and improve procedures for software testing and validation.
- Assist in training staff on new software applications and system updates.
- Coordinate with network management teams to address connectivity issues.
- Monitor system resources and performance metrics to preempt issues.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Participate in project planning and implementation as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical support or engineering role.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g. Python Java Bash).
- Experience with system integration and API management.
- Familiarity with database management systems and SQL.
- Knowledge of network security principles and practices is a plus.
- Handson experience with troubleshooting tools and diagnostic software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid problemsolving abilities with a focus on user satisfaction.
- Experience with agile project management methodologies.
- Certifications related to IT support or network management are desirable.
- Willingness to participate in oncall support rotation.
- Detailoriented mindset with a passion for technology.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
