Overview
The MD DNB General Medicine Consultant plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive medical care to patients within a healthcare setting. This position is crucial in diagnosing treating and managing a wide range of medical conditions ensuring that patients receive highquality care throughout their journey. The consultant will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver holistic treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and utilize results to inform clinical decisions.
- Provide expert consultations on complex medical cases.
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment as necessary.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment options.
- Collaborate with allied health professionals to deliver integrated care.
- Stay updated on advances in medical research and practices.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Supervise medical interns and junior doctors in clinical settings.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with regulations.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department.
- Participate in departmental meetings and case reviews.
- Engage in community outreach and public health education programs.
- Uphold ethical standards and patient confidentiality at all times.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state.
- Minimum three years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of internal medicine and associated specialties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
- Ability to work well in a fastpaced environment.
- Commitment to patientcentered care principles.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Experience in teaching or mentoring medical staff is a plus.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated interest in research and evidencebased practice.

- Willingness to participate in oncall rotations as needed.
