Job Description
Job Title: Oracle Apps Admin with DevOps
Location: Remote
Job Type: FullTime / Contract
Experience: 610 years
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Oracle Applications Admin with DevOps expertise to oversee the smooth functioning of Oracle EBS environments manage deployments and support DevOps automation processes. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Oracle Apps administration and experience
in implementing DevOps practices to streamline and automate workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Oracle Apps Administration:
o Manage Oracle EBS (R12 / Cloud) environments including installation configuration upgrades patching and cloning.
o Monitor and optimize Oracle databases and middleware components.
o Manage concurrent processing system workflows and custom application integrations.
o Provide performance tuning troubleshooting and issue resolution.
2.DevOps Practices:
o Implement CI/CD pipelines for Oracle applications using Jenkins Git or similar tools.
o Automate infrastructure deployment using tools like Ansible Terraform or Puppet.
o Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth releases and deployments.
o Manage version control automated builds and configuration management.
3.Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
o Utilize monitoring tools (such as Nagios Grafana or Prometheus) to ensure system stability and uptime.
o Analyze logs and resolve performance issues proactively.
o Perform root cause analysis on production incidents and implement preventive
measures.
4 Collaboration & Documentation:
o Work closely with crossfunctional teams (DBA DevOps and functional consultants) to coordinate releases and updates.
o Maintain documentation for configurations processes and troubleshooting steps.
o Train team members and share best practices for Oracle and DevOps management.
Required Skills:
6 years of experience in Oracle Applications (EBS R12/Cloud) administration.
Strong knowledge of Oracle databases SQL PL/SQL WebLogic and middleware administration.
Experience with DevOps tools: Jenkins Git Ansible Terraform Docker Kubernetes etc.
Expertise in Linux/Unix shell scripting and system administration.
Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines automation tools and containerization.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms.
Knowledge of monitoring tools like Nagios Grafana or Prometheus.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
ITIL or DevOps certifications will be an advantage.
Work Timings:
Current Schedule: 1 week IST followed by 1 week PST (until 5 pm PST).
Future Schedule: 3 weeks IST followed by 1 week PST (until 5 pm PST).
