Job Description

Overview:
The Executive Chef plays a pivotal role in our culinary operations in Pune responsible for leading the kitchen staff and managing all aspects of food preparation and presentation. This position is essential for maintaining the high standards of our international cuisine offerings while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. The Executive Chef will develop innovative menus reflecting global culinary trends oversee the procurement of fresh ingredients and provide guidance to the kitchen team. Engage in continuous training and mentorship of staff to ensure a skilled workforce capable of delivering exceptional culinary experiences. This role not only emphasizes creativity and culinary excellence but also requires effective management skills including budgeting and inventory control. A focus on promoting a collaborative and positive work environment is crucial to the success of this role along with a commitment to health and safety standards. The ideal candidate should possess an extensive background in international cuisine showcase leadership qualities and demonstrate a passion for culinary arts.
  • Design and implement menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
  • Manage kitchen operations ensuring efficiency and adherence to standards.
  • Oversee food preparation presentation and plating for all dishes.
  • Train mentor and supervise kitchen staff to enhance their skills and efficiency.
  • Control food costs and manage inventory effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation areas.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on food items to uphold restaurant standards.
  • Collaborate with management on promotional events and special menus.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers to procure highquality ingredients.
  • Address and resolve any customer complaints related to food quality.
  • Organize and oversee kitchen staff schedules and work assignments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment.
  • Innovate new recipes and present food creatively to enhance guest experiences.
  • Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance offerings.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a reputable establishment.
  • Extensive knowledge of international cuisines and cooking techniques.
  • Professional culinary degree or equivalent certification.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in menu development and restaurant management.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and achieving food cost targets.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in food service.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity in presentation.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement training programs for staff.
  • Experience working with diverse teams and cultures.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to handle customer feedback.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
