Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic HR & Admin Manager with a strong understanding of Indian labor laws and HR best practices. The ideal candidate will have 36 years of experience in human resources and administration with a focus on recruitment employee relations performance management and compliance with Indian regulations. This role will also encompass administrative responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the office manage support staff and drive employee engagement initiatives.
Good Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition (Indian Context):
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage the entire recruitment cycle from sourcing candidates through job portals and campuses to conducting interviews and onboarding.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify hiring needs and draft job descriptions as per industry standards.
- Use social media platforms and professional networks to attract candidates especially for niche roles.
2. Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Promote a culture of open communication and employee engagement within the organization.
- Address employee grievances and mediate conflicts to foster a harmonious workplace.
- Conduct employee feedback initiatives such as pulse surveys to gauge employee satisfaction and implement necessary changes.
- Organize cultural events festivals and teambuilding activities to enhance team spirit.
3. Performance Management:
- Design and implement a robust performance management system including goalsetting appraisals and feedback mechanisms.
- Train managers on effective performance evaluation techniques and tools.
- Identify and support underperforming employees through performance improvement plans.
4. Compliance and Labor Relations (Indiaspecific):
- Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws such as the Industrial Disputes Act Employees Provident Fund Act and Shops and Establishment Act.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and HR practices in India ensuring the organization remains compliant.
- Maintain employee records and documentation including contracts policies and compliance reports.
5. Administration and Office Management:
- Oversee administrative operations ensuring efficient office management and support functions.
- Manage relationships with service providers including facilities management and office supplies procurement.
- Develop office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
6. Training and Development:
- Assess training needs through employee surveys and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with external trainers and consultants to conduct skill development workshops.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure they meet organizational needs.
7. HR Reporting and Analytics:
- Generate HR metrics and reports to analyze workforce data and trends aiding strategic decisionmaking.
- Use data analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives and drive improvements.
Ideal Candidate:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field; a Master s degree or relevant HR certifications (like CHRP or PHR) is advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum of 36 years of experience in HR and administration particularly in an Indian corporate environment.
- Skills: Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
- Knowledge: Indepth understanding of Indian labor laws HR best practices and compliance requirements.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with HR management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- ProblemSolving: Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to address employee issues confidentially and effectively.
