Job Description
Lead Software QA Engineer
Location: Pune
Experience: 5 to 10 Years
- This is a Hybrid model setup (2 Days a week working from office is mandatory)
- US shift timings would be applicable 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM
- There are 2 Technical rounds in the Interview Process
- We are open to considering relocation
- Extra Night shift allowance will be applicable over and above the CTC
- A relocation allowance will also be provided for relocation cases
MustHave:
Experience in team handling
Experience in any Cloud (AWS/ Azure/ GCP)
Experience in Performance Testing with Jmeter/Load Runner
Experience in writing DB queries (preferably in Postgres/ Snowflake/ MySQL/ RDS)
Experience in BDD Gherkin and Behave/Cucumber Pytest
Experience in Selenium
Experience in Manual and Automation Testing with Python
Requirements:
- Lead QA teams across multiple pods for manual and automated testing.
- 5 years of strong expertise in Test requirement understanding test data test plan & test case designing. Develop detailed test cases and test data to ensure business functionality is thoroughly tested Automation & Manual
- Strong Experience in writing DB queries (preferably in Postgres/ Snowflake/ MySQL/ RDS)
- 5 years of strong work experience in UI and API testing. Any experience with AWS/Cloudhosted applications is an added advantage.
- Experienced working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum Kanban
- Key competencies required: ProblemSolving Analytical Collaboration and Accountability. Strong communication skills.
- Should have experience with automation execution on frameworks with Selenium webdriver (v3) and Request/RestAssured with programming experience in Python (MUST)
- Knowledge of automation frameworks in BDD Gherkin and Behave/Cucumber Pytest.
- Experienced in Performance testing basics will be preferred.
Responsibilities
Ability to Lead testing activities across multiple PODs. Act as a key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases of the PODs guide mentor and coordinate QA team members accordingly. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure business requirement completeness
Ability to understand the holistic requirements(functional and nonfunctional) review and analyze stories specifications and technical design documents and develop detailed test cases and test data to ensure business functionality is thoroughly tested Automation & Manual.
Be a Leader building and leading the test team for successful delivery.
Be proactive and follow the Shiftleft testing approach in identifying the issues early and following up on them efficiently
Support quality assurance initiatives and help institutionalize best practices
Maximize the opportunity to excel in an open and recognizing work culture. Be a problem solver and a team player to make a bigger contribution to the achievements.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to understand system functionality including inputs processing and outputs
Participate in AGILE and Endtoend ownership of testing defining the scope of test estimation strategy and defect reporting
Maturity to consider crossfunctional feedback during the design phase.
Handson with test preparation scripting and execution in the Agile and DevOps environment
Ensure maximum feasible automation coverage after each sprint.
Preparation scripting review and update of test cases and relevant test data consistent with system requirements including functional integration & regression
Open to learn from each other in the team and each experience daytoday
Develop test plan/strategies test cases and relevant test data consistent with system requirements including integration regression performance and usability. Review and update test plan/cases to ensure acceptable test coverage
Record & report testing status at various release cycle milestones
Identify and document system deficiencies and recommend solutions
Support quality assurance initiatives and help institutionalize best practices
Experience in the execution on automation frameworks scripting and maintenance is preferred.
