Key Duties of a Business Analyst:
- Support the implementation and testing of new systems or process changes collaborating with IT and operational teams to ensure successful deployment
- Familiarity with logistics operations including transportation warehousing inventory management and distribution processes.
- Provide ongoing support and expertise to stakeholders addressing inquiries resolving issues and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of logistics systems and software (e.g. WMS TMS) is preferred. Clarus (WMS) and Mandata (TMS) advantageous.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of logistics processes including transportation warehousing inventory management and distribution to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization.
- Gather and analyse data from various sources such as ERP systems logistics software and industry reports to provide actionable insights and recommendations for process enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document business requirements ensuring alignment with overall logistics objectives and strategic initiatives
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure logistics performance and track progress towards operational goals.
- Prepare and present datadriven reports visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings and support decisionmaking at various levels of the organization.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and technology solutions to streamline logistics operations improve accuracy and reduce costs.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in logistics and recommend relevant innovations for adoption.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics operations ensuring consistency and efficiency.
Qualifications :
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse complex data sets identify trends and derive meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques such as SQL Excel or data visualization software (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
- Knowledge of logistics systems and software (e.g. WMS TMS) is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Selfmotivated and adaptable with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
