Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Maintain troubleshoot and repair production equipment as part of a team of mechanics electricians and control technicians.
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment repairs to ensure continuous production.
- Operate mechanical equipment to assemble repair and fabricate metal parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and P&IDs.
- Safely use various hand and power tools including machine shop equipment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in welding soldering and pipe fitting.
- Work on hydraulic pneumatic and vacuum systems.
- Set up and operate conventional specialpurpose and numerical control (NC) machines.
- Fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts according to specifications.
- Measure mark and scribe dimensions on materials for machining.
- Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining or assembly problems.
- Perform backup duties for the Maintenance Mechanic position as needed.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; College Diploma preferred
- Minimum 2 years training in Technical or Vocational Institute/Center
- 5 years experience with automatic/highspeed packaging machinery
- Black Seal Boiler Operators License
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of PLCs electronic circuitry and standard maintenance safety procedures
- Proficiency in English (reading writing and communication)
- May be required to pass Sika Corporation proficiency test (reading comprehension and math)
