Your responsibilities as a marine crewing officer:
- Liaise with Crewing Agencies for the selection and provision of qualified seafarers
- Confirm with Flag state Authority that the Certificates of Competency for all Marine personnel are authentic prior to appointment to Company Operated ships
- Ensure that all Marine personnel professional certificates are current including Flag State medicals
- Schedule Crew rotas including travel arrangements to/from vessel
- Ensure that crew welfare arrangements on company operated ships comply with the standards identified in the relevant Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006) standards
- Arrange for revalidation of all Flag State CoC / CeC prior to expiry
- Liaise with Vessel Superintendents on any additional personnel who may be required to join/visit Company Operated ships for repair MLC Flag or Class Inspection etc
- Maintain a working knowledge and be fully conversant with the principles identified in the Gardline Safety Management System

You can move ahead as a marine crewing officer if you have:
- Previous experience working in a shipping and or marine crewing role
- Diploma in Crew Management (Desirable)
- Have right to work in the UK without restrictions and based in the local Great Yarmouth (UK) area
- Previous Administration experience including excellent organisational skills
- High level of IT literacy including Office Microsoft Teams and Outlook
- Strong communication skills both in person and written
- Be able to work as part of a team and perform well under pressure
- A good command of written and spoken English
