Job Description
Our client a leader in the Solar PV industry is seeking an experienced Projects Development Expert with a strong background in investment and project delivery. This role open to locations across Africa will oversee the entire project lifecycle from feasibility through to project closeout and handover.
Basic Duties:
- Lead the development of Solar PV projects from concept to completion ensuring ontime delivery and within budget.
- Conduct project feasibility studies including technical financial and regulatory assessments.
- Oversee investment analysis financial modeling and securing funding for projects.
- Manage stakeholder relationships including investors contractors regulatory bodies and local communities.
- Coordinate project planning procurement and execution phases ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor project progress risks and deliverables ensuring milestones are met.
- Lead project closeout activities including testing commissioning and handover to operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with environmental social and governance (ESG) principles throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering Renewable Energy Project Management or Finance (Master s degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 810 years experience in Solar PV project development with a proven track record of delivering projects across Africa.
- Strong knowledge of investment analysis financial structuring and project financing for renewable energy projects.
- Experience managing the full project lifecycle from feasibility studies to project handover.
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and permitting processes in African markets.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Exceptional leadership analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Africa as required.
