Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Gainesville FL
Shifts Available: Nights (Rotating Weekends)
Shift Hours: 12hour shifts 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Shift Per Week: 3 shifts (36 hours per week)
Salary Range: $27.42 $36.95 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Gainesville FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care particularly in ICU CVICU NICU PICU and critical care settings. Experience in home care or longterm care will also be considered. As a Respiratory Therapist you will be responsible for delivering setting up and maintaining both routine and nonroutine therapies and equipment including oxygen aerosol therapy and ventilators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Interpret and perform Arterial Blood Gases (ABG) tests.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment usage.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Identify and report any signs of abuse or neglect in patients.
- Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of respiratory therapy equipment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience in ICU CVICU NICU PICU or other critical care units.
- Florida State Respiratory License.
- NBRC Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
