Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for providing optimal ultrasound exams and/or procedures in a safe and efficient manner facilitating accurate physician diagnosis. The role involves working with a range of customers including neonates infants children adolescents adults and geriatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound procedures accurately and apply critical thinking skills in emergent situations.
- Maintain accurate customer medical records and ensure confidentiality.
- Utilize hospital and imaging computer systems effectively.
- Interact professionally with physicians coworkers customers and families.
- Support Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) Vascular Lab in obtaining and maintaining IAC accreditation.
- Interpret and present preliminary examination findings for critical cases.
- Assist with quality assurance data collection and maintenance of procedure logs.
- Comply with legal regulatory and procedural requirements related to job responsibilities.
- Participate in professional development and maintain required clinical knowledge and credentials.

Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Sonography (Required).
- Experience: 15 years of previous experience (Preferred).
- Licensure/Certification:
- RDMS Registered or Registry Eligible (Required within 24 months of hire).
- BLS Certification (Required).
- RVT Registered or Registry Eligible (For HVI Vascular Lab required within 12 months of hire).
