Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Mattoon IL
Rate: $33.73 $52.28/hour (eligible for shift differential)
Shift Type: 12 HR Nights
Shift Times: 5:30 PM 6:00 AM (3 days per week 36 hours total)
SignOn Bonus: $10000
Job Overview:
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing highquality ultrasound exams and assisting in their interpretation. The technologist must be skilled in abdominal OB/GYN small parts and vascular ultrasound exams. No oncall is required and shifts are available for days and evenings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general ultrasound exams including abdominal OB/GYN small parts and breast imaging as well as specialty procedures like biopsy and aspiration.
- Conduct vascular examinations such as venous duplex venous mapping carotid duplex and arterial Doppler.
- Assess patient history and symptoms in relation to the study being performed.
- Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment ensuring it operates efficiently.
- Assist staff physicians as needed during exams.
- Follow established protocols and hospital policies for conducting procedures.
- Produce highquality ultrasound images and provide assistance in their interpretation.
- Document ultrasound exams accurately and in a timely manner according to department policies.
- Train and supervise students to ensure competency.
- Serve as a liaison between the hospital and clinical training programs from various schools.

Requirements:
- BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- ARDMS certification required.
- Valid state license in Illinois.
