Job Description
Job Title: Surgical Tech II
Location: Grapevine Texas
Shift: 12Hour Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Shift Per Week: 3
Scheduled Hours: 36
Salary: $25 $36
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field and instruments for surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe surgeries.
- Perform surgical counts of sponges sharps and instruments.
- Assist with patient preparation draping and positioning.
- Ensure proper cleaning decontamination and sterilization of equipment.
- Follow infection control policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain inventory and manage surgical supplies.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
- Certification:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT OR
- Completion of formal training in surgical technology through the military/public health service OR
- Employed in a surgical technologist role in a healthcare facility prior to September 1 2009.
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.
