Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Sourcing and Vendor Management:
  1. Identify evaluate and onboard reliable suppliers of linen and terry fabrics globally focusing on export markets.
  2. Negotiate pricing payment terms and delivery schedules to meet cost and timeline goals.
  3. Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality and ethical standards such as GOTS OEKOTex or ISO certifications.
Export Operations:
  1. Collaborate with logistics and customs teams to ensure seamless export processes including documentation (e.g. bills of lading invoices and certificates of origin).
  2. Ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations in major export regions such as the EU US and Middle East.
Customer Relationship Management:
  1. Liaise with international B2B clients including retailers wholesalers and distributors to understand product requirements.
  2. Provide samples product specifications and technical details to clients for approval.
  3. Develop longterm relationships to increase repeat business.
Market Research & Strategy:
  1. Monitor trends in fabric innovation and export demand for linen and terry fabrics particularly in key markets.
  2. Create a strategic sourcing plan to expand supplier bases while maintaining profitability.
  3. Analyze competitor offerings to position products competitively.
Sustainability Initiatives:
  1. Work with suppliers to source sustainable ecofriendly materials to meet client preferences.
  2. Promote green certifications as a value addition for international clients.
Key Skills:
  1. Sourcing Expertise:

    • Ability to identify costeffective and reliable suppliers of linen and terry products.
    • Familiarity with sourcing hubs like India Turkey China and Europe.
  2. Export Process Knowledge:

    • Proficiency in export documentation freight forwarding and compliance requirements.
  3. Negotiation Skills:

    • Ability to secure competitive pricing while ensuring quality standards.
  4. Communication:

    • Strong interpersonal skills to manage suppliers and engage with international buyers.
  5. Market Understanding:

    • Insight into global trends in home textiles and the preferences of key export markets.
  6. Tech Savvy:

    • Experience using ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and tools for inventory sourcing and order tracking.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Certification in ExportImport Management or Supply Chain is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of sustainability certifications like GOTS OEKOTex and Fair Trade.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for supplier audits and client meetings.
Success Metrics:
  • Timely procurement and delivery of products meeting client specifications.
  • Achievement of cost targets and profitability in export deals.
  • Expansion of supplier and client networks in key regions.
  • Positive client feedback on product quality and service reliability.
