Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT and Networking Engineer to join our team. This role involves configuring installing and maintaining network devices and services ensuring system reliability and providing highlevel support to resolve networkrelated issues. As an integral member of the IT team you will collaborate with security teams vendors and internal staff to ensure smooth and secure network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Configuration & Installation: Configure and install various network devices such as routers switches firewalls load balancers VPNs and implement Quality of Service (QoS) protocols.
- System Upgrades & Maintenance: Perform regular network and system maintenance including applying service packs patches hot fixes and security configurations to ensure optimal system performance.
- Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor system performance resource utilization trending and capacity planning to maintain high availability and reliability.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide Level2/3 support to identify troubleshoot and resolve networkrelated issues ensuring minimal downtime.
- Configuration & Change Management: Adhere to established configuration and change management policies to ensure proper approval and tracking of any modifications made to the network infrastructure.
- Security & Compliance: Collaborate with the companys security team to implement and enforce security tools policies and procedures to safeguard network integrity.
- Vendor Liaison: Work closely with external vendors and internal IT staff to address technical issues and optimize network solutions.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Network Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in networking IT infrastructure and system maintenance.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in configuring and maintaining network devices (routers switches firewalls load balancers VPNs).
- Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Familiarity with system upgrades patches service packs and security protocols.
- Handson experience with QoS capacity planning and system resource monitoring.
- Knowledge of security practices and ability to work with a security team to implement measures.
- Certifications: Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP CompTIA Network or equivalent are a plus.
- ProblemSolving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle complex network issues.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams vendors and external stakeholders.
