Job Description
Our client requires the services of a Software Engineer (Advanced Senior) Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation

POSITION: Contract until December 2027
EXPERIENCE: 48 Years related working experience
COMMENCEMENT: 01 April 2025
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field or similar qualification
- At least 3 years experience as an SAP logistics developer
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- At least 3 years experience in ABAP Development (Backend)
- At least 3 years experience in ABAP Development (Frontend e.g. Dynpro WebDynpro SAP UI5)
- At least 3 years experience with ABAP Objects (Automated testing / ABAP Unit tests)
- At least 3 years experience with distribution technology ODATA / IDoc
- Experience with SAP Transport / Transport management (Solman CHARM) and/or Cloud ALM (CALM)
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS
- Functional:
- Experience in one or more of the following SAP functional areas: EWM MM MP PP SD WM LE
- Experience with automated testing in SAP (e.g. Tosca)
- Experience with Hana / S/4 technology understanding of CDS views (SAP Gateway)
- Basic understanding of Streaming technologies such as Kafka
- Basic understanding of Cloud solution integrating with an SAP S/4 system
- Operation experience
- Agile Framework experience e.g. scrum
ROLE:
- Technical and functional refinement and breakdown of requirements (Epics User Stories) for international GROUP plants
- Development of new and enhanced functionality (in ECC or S/4)
- Testing:
- Automated Testing ABAP Unit test and front end / E2E tests (Tosca)
- Manual Testing own development as well as other manual (functional) tests
- Operations Problem Incident & Change Management
- Operations (3rd level) and on occasion 2nd level (24/7)
