Job Description
Position: Health Unit Coordinator
Start Date: 1/6/2025
Duration: 4 to 6 months (covering leave)
Location: Pittsfield MA 01201
Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Days 8:00 AM 4:30 PM 8
Shift Notes: 8hr days 40hr guarantee
Weekend Requirements: None
OnCall Requirements: None

Traveler Policy: Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates 50mile radius restriction)

Job Summary: Scheduling appointments checking insurance verification Obtaining provider orders and referrals. Perform assigned tasks in areas of direct and nondirect patient care. All patient care responsibilities are under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist or therapist assistant.
Submission Requirements- 2 years of current experience in a rehab setting
- HS graduate or GED
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with patients families and other health care providers required.
- Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple job tasks daily to meet the needs of the department required.
- Knowledge of Meditech/Excel & Word preferred.
- A valid Drivers License is required for this need
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision/assistance
- Ability to comprehend speak and write the English language
- Knowledge of medical terminology required
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prostheses that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.
