Head of Finance (D/E)
Tasks
Leading the finance department and acting as the Finance Business Partner to the management and leadership team your main tasks will be:
Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organisations goals.
- Lead financial forecasting budgeting and scenario analysis.
- Identify costsaving measures and risks.
- Financial Management and Reporting
- Oversee preparation of financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor cash flow manage liquidity and optimize working capital.
- Present financial results and insights to the leadership team and board.
- Risk Management
- Assess and mitigate financial risks including currency credit and market risks.
- Ensure adequate insurance coverage and safeguard organizational assets.
- Regulatory and Legal Compliance
- Ensure compliance with tax laws financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Oversee internal and external audits.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to prevent fraud or errors.
- Capital Management
- Manage relationships with banks investors and other financing partners.
- Allocate resources effectively to maximize return on investment.
- Cost Control and Efficiency
- Monitor operational expenses and implement costreduction strategies.
- Drive efficiency in financial processes and implement automation where possible.
- Leadership and Team Management
- Lead the finance team setting clear goals and ensuring professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and align operations with financial goals.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO
- Corporate Governance and Ethics
- Uphold transparency and ethical standards in financial practices.
- Support governance processes including participation in board meetings.
- Technology and Systems Management
- Oversee the selection and implementation of financial software and ERP systems.
- Use data analytics and financial tools to improve decisionmaking.
Requirements
Profile
- Higher degree in finance economics or a related field
- At least 5 years experience in a similar senior role in an international environment
- Successful track record in financial industry
- Indepth knowledge and expertise in controlling financial analysis & portfolio management
- Selfdriven able to work independently and in a team within a cross functional environment
- Highly professional working style associated with a structured mind
- Strong communication and interpersonal/networking skills with a proactive approach as well as the energy and motivation to succeed in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Solid knowledge of the Swiss finance requirements
- Business proficiency in German and English language mandatory
