POSITION SUMMARY
Research & Development Scientist
This position is responsible for supporting the Research and Development function in the commercialization of fragrance products for primary processing relating to innovation or new product development product & process improvement cost optimization and as well as product maintenance activities.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
End to End Product/Process Development
Responsible for the design and development of new product development product & process improvement cost optimization and product maintenance initiatives
Assess the technical feasibility of concepts and confirm operational compatibility
Independently conducts less complex/routine experiments by following predefined protocols and standards and/or with direct supervision conducts complex experiments involving standard interpretation and iterations of the trial steps. This includes prototype development pilot trial and plant trial up to the commercialization stage
Recommends processes and systems used within new product development programs and other
Prepares yield computation including product costing
Responsible for completing technical reports/presentations of various R&D activities
Develops product/process standards and specifications for new products
Sources new/alternative ingredients and/ or suppliers that will promote quality growth and profitability of existing product offerings
Stays current and constantly builds on scientific knowledge keeps up with literature and field of specialization as well and seeks new opportunities within the project scope
Supports the identification of new product opportunities and the creating of solutions to drive performance
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Masters/PhD qualification in Chemistry Bioengineering Chemical or Life Sciences
Solid laboratory skills with an understanding of basic science
Enjoys handson experimentation (10 YEARS) iteration and solving technical problems
Ability to communicate and articulate results verbally and in writing
Reliability with the ability to hold themselves accountable for timely results
High levels of integrity flexibility and responsibility
