Job Description
Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Austin TX (Hybrid)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Experience eliciting requirements through customer interviews and creating wellwritten system requirements documents.
- Experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) ensuring effective requirements integration throughout.
- Experience in business process reengineering and improving software process flows.
- Experience in the development of user stories and use cases that follow industry best practices for business analysis.
- Experience in designing mockups and wireframes that adhere to UX best practices.
- Demonstrated experience with strong communication and facilitation skills in collaborative environments.
- Demonstrated experience with strong writing and organizational skills to maintain clear documentation.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with requirements management software such as Modern Requirements.
- Experience with issue tracking software like Atlassian Jira for managing project tasks and documentation.
- Experience working for or closely with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) or another state or local education agency.
Key Responsibilities: - Elicit requirements from customer interviews and create clear wellwritten system requirements documents that align with business needs.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure that all business requirements are met during development.
- Lead business process reengineering and software process flow improvement initiatives to optimize system performance and workflow.
- Develop user stories and use cases that adhere to business analysis best practices and capture functional and nonfunctional requirements.
- Design mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices ensuring userfriendly and intuitive designs.
- Demonstrate strong communication and facilitation skills to lead interviews workshops and meetings with stakeholders.
- Showcase strong writing and organization skills to document requirements user stories and project details in a clear and concise manner.
