Job Description
Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager
Location: Austin TX Hybrid
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead endtoend project management activities within the Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Oversee initiatives involving data warehouses data lakes data analytics business intelligence and webbased (J2EE) development or SOArelated projects.
- Manage Agile project sprints including planning increments backlog grooming sprint planning daily scrums retrospectives and Kanban processes.
- Monitor project progress identify risks and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Create and maintain clear and concise project documentation ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Track project budgets monitor actual costs and ensure accurate reporting in project tracking tools.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on project status issues and progress.
- Facilitate team management activities such as task assignments mentoring training and conducting effective team meetings.
- Resolve complex project issues using expert problemsolving skills.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Experience in IT project management experience.
- Experience in the IT industry with at least 5 years focused on data management solutions analytics business intelligence or webbased development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in developing project documentation and ensuring clarity across all stakeholders.
- Experience leading Agile teams and applying methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Thorough understanding of budget tracking and cost reporting within project tools.
- Proven ability to manage resources in functional and matrixed environments.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in healthcare or public health industries specifically in managing multiagency or multiIT department initiatives.
- Familiarity with Health and Human Services programs including access and eligibility initiatives.
- Expertise in motivating and managing diverse project teams to exceed performance expectations.
- Handson involvement in the full project lifecycle from analysis and planning to deployment.
- Knowledge of Texasspecific technology services (TSS Sprint Teams) is a plus.
