Job Title: Cloud FinOps Specialist (US Citizens only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and monitor cloud usage and spending patterns to identify optimization opportunities.
- Implement strategies for rightsizing resources reserved instance planning and cost allocation.
- Develop and enforce tagging standards and governance policies for accurate cost tracking.
- Provide actionable insights and forecasts to stakeholders by creating detailed reports on cloud spend usage and trends.
- Collaborate with finance teams to establish and manage cloud budgets forecasts and variance analyses.
- Implement chargeback or showback models to promote financial accountability within teams.
- Work closely with engineering product and operations teams to align cloud usage with business objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between technical and financial stakeholders translating technical details into financial insights.
- Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to discuss costsaving opportunities and resource efficiency.
- Leverage cloud management tools (e.g. AWS Cost Explorer Azure Cost Management Google Cloud Billing) and thirdparty platforms (e.g. CloudHealth Spot.io) for cost management and optimization.
- Automate reporting alerts and governance processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Champion the FinOps culture within the organization by educating teams on costefficient cloud practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends cloud pricing changes and emerging tools to continuously enhance the organizations FinOps maturity.
Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Finance Business or related field.
- Experience in cloud cost management financial operations or a related role.
- Proficiency with major cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud) and their cost management tools.
- Experience with cloudnative and thirdparty FinOps tools.
- Basic scripting and automation skills (e.g. Python PowerShell) are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a detailoriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities for technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Knowledge of IT procurement licensing models and cloud pricing strategies.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Azure Fundamentals or Azure Administrator Associate.
- FinOps Certified Practitioner.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
