Job Description
Job Title: Database Administrator (Oracle & MSSQL)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Oracle Exadata and MSSQL Server databases ensuring optimal performance availability and security
- Perform performance tuning ASM/storage management and database software troubleshooting
- Provide oncall support for production development and test database systems including 24x7 coverage
- Administer and manage Oracle database versions on Linux systems including shell scripting and tuning
- Manage Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Active Data Guard for Oracle version 19 databases
- Develop tools for administering large numbers of test and development database environments
- Support the migration configuration and operation of Oracle databases in AWS cloud infrastructure
- Manage database refreshes/clones and support building development and testing databases
- Assist in the troubleshooting of database software and engage with vendors for problem resolution when necessary
- Support the PSR team in analyzing troubleshooting and executing data corrections for production databases
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Indepth knowledge of Oracle internal views shell scripting SQL and PL/SQL
- Experience managing Oracle databases on Linux systems including shell scripting and performance tuning
- Extensive experience with Oracle version 19 Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Active Data Guard
- Experience designing installing and maintaining largescale databases
- Expertise in setting up database infrastructure in data centers including cloud infrastructure
- Experience in moving live production development and testing databases across multiple physical sites
- Strong experience with Oracle Exadata database machine administration including configuration and patching
- Experience administering MSSQL Server and EDB PostgreSQL Enterprise databases
- Proven experience with database migration and support in AWS cloud infrastructure
- Experience in database refreshes/clones and supporting the creation of development and test environments
- Expertise in troubleshooting database software and engaging with vendors for resolution
- Familiarity with Remedy ITSM PPM and ServiceNow
