Job Description

Sales & Catering Coordinator Business Travel & Tour Markets

Showcase your outstanding interpersonal skills as a Sales & Catering Coordinator where you will provide organizational and administrative support to the team and memorable service to your guests. We are looking for a detailoriented multitasker that is passionate about hospitality and providing exceptional service.

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing the responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensures prompt and courteous service to guests vendors colleagues and global sales network
  • Qualifies and responds to client inquiries within one hour and adhere to Fairmont standards
  • Conducts comprehensive site inspections for hotel clients
  • Builds monitors and updates group blocks in Opera Cloud
  • Assists in loading rates in Cvent Business Transient platform
  • Assumes responsibility for handling inquiries when the Sales Manager is unavailable ensuring a seamless and efficient response to customer and client queries.
  • Assists with maintenance of account contact activity and business details within Opera according to Fairmont standards
  • Coordinates with other departments within the hotel to ensure distribution of important information
  • Participates and prepares for all sales meetings and client activities
  • Provide all administration duties including the preparation of contracts reports and plans
  • Ensures all sales promotional literature is current and updated
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Catering Coordinator duties include daily distribution of BEO copies & changes; weekly distribution of Daily Function and other duties as assigned
  • Any other duties assigned by Director of Sales & Marketing

Qualifications :

  • Previous administrative experience required. Hotel experience is an asset
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and or relevant computer applications required 
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
