Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
As a BIM Modeler you will play a pivotal role in our projects team by leveraging cuttingedge Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology. You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary teams to create and manage BIM models ensuring the seamless integration of architectural structural MEPF and other Airport systems. The candidate in this role plays a pivotal part in the architectural design detailing presentation and coordination process leveraging BIM technology to enhance creativity efficiency and collaboration across upcoming upgrades and refurbishment projects.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Accountabilities Major Activities Designing
a) use BIM tools to propose various concept/design options based on project requirements.
b) Quickly iterate and analyse different design options to find the most efficient and innovative solutions.
c) Create and maintain detailed BIM models of the construction project using Revit software.
d) Establish and maintain a centralized BIM data repository for project documentation and model version control.
e) Use parametric modelling principles to generate various design options.
f) Create highquality 3D renderings visualization using Enscape/Twin motion to help the team better understand the design.
g) Prepare Presentations and present design concepts and drawings when required.
h) Review detailed design and shop drawings submitted by consultants contractors and subcontractors.
i) Perform material research and assist designers in evaluation to make proper selections.
Coordination
a) Create and analyse an Integrated federated model.
b) Run and analyse clash detection using Navisworks manage.
c) Prepare and distribute clash reports to facilitate the coordination process.
d) Schedule and facilitate coordination meetings along with different discipline managers.
e) Meeting with designers as required to facilitate review of models as needed.
Site Visits
a) Collaborate with onsite construction teams to ensure that BIM data is utilized effectively during construction.
b) may attend project meetings and site visits as appropriate.
c) may be responsible for preparing meeting minutes for coordination meetings.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Education qualification and certifications
Bachelor s degree in architecture Engineering or Construction disciplines is mandatory.
Years of Experience
a) A minimum of 5 years of working experience in Architecture or Engineering consultancy is mandatory.
b) A thorough understanding of all building systems and construction methods is required.
Computer skills
a) Experience in the use of BIM and Rendering tools (Autodesk Revit AutoCAD Navisworks manage Enscape) b) Experience using Adobe Photoshop PowerPoint Excel and Word.
Knowledge and work skills
a) Understanding of Architectural design and document coordination.
b) Understanding of various building types.
c) Knowledge of relevant BIM standards and protocols (e.g. ISO 19650 LOD).
d) General understanding of building codes e) Knowledge of construction nomenclature and techniques
f) Excellent communication skills in written and spoken communication with leaders and peers.
g) Knowledge of the ScantoBIM process is an advantage.
h) Passion for BIM both in process and technology and how it can be used to improve the productivity of those who work in design and construction.
i) Selfdriven and motivated passionate detailoriented with a strong work ethic
