Duties and Responsibilities:
Install Maintain and Repair Systems: Install test and repair telecommunications systems and equipment including voice data and video communication networks.
Troubleshoot Electrical Components: Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical and communication components using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and spectrum analyzers.
Design and Implementation: Assist in designing and implementing telecommunications systems tailored to meet organizational or customer needs.
Cabling Installations: Perform structured cabling installations for voice data and fiber optic networks ensuring compliance with industry standards.
System Testing and Optimization: Conduct thorough system testing to verify proper functionality and optimize system performance.
Customer Support: Provide expert technical support to customers addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to telecommunication services.
Build Communication Infrastructure: Configure and build communication infrastructure including routers switches and other network equipment.
Equipment Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve hardware and connectivity issues efficiently and accurately.
Requirements
- Must have Service Call Capabilities
- Proven proficiency in cabling installations structured wiring and telecommunications system design.
- Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and compliance with industry safety standards.
- Experience in alarm systems including sales installation or service technician roles (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work with diagnostic tools and equipment such as voltmeters multimeters and cable testers.
- Familiarity with locksmithing techniques and security systems including access control integration.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics blueprints and documentation.
- Exceptional problemsolving skills and attention to detail for troubleshooting and optimizing systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective technical support and customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in telecommunications networking or related fields are a plus.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing ladders lifting equipment and working in various environments.
