Job Description
Position overview
Were are looking for experienced enthusiastic creative Kitchen Team Member with a strong background from a similar environment to join our hardworking team here at The Novotel & Ibis Southampton.
You will be preparing cooking and presenting high quality dishes including meat fish and vegetables to our implemented specs. Cooking dishes that will delight our guests which delivers incredible taste and within a timely delivery.
The role will be primarily for the late (afternoon/ evening) shift.
Main Responsibilities:
- To undertake all Kitchen Team Member duties to the highest possible standard
- Displaying great attention to detail and a passion for every dish that leaves our kitchen.
- To store food items correctly and in rotation to minimise wastage using all company labelling and dating processes.
- Adjusts food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns.
- To ensure high standards of cleanliness and best practices are always maintained.
- To participate in training sessions and attend meetings when require by the Head/Sous Chef.
- To ensure the kitchen have adequate supplies of clean utensils crockery and other equipment.
- To be aware of the responsibilities for Health & Safety for all team members and guests reporting any accidents or potential hazards to the person in charge.
- You will be a professional who understands the importance of delivering and maintaining high kitchen standards keeping a safe clean and compliant environment.
- You will have strong communication skills a corporative and polite manner and an eye for detail.
Schedule
- As per the business needs and demands. Ability work mornings evenings and late including weekends.
