Industry experts report that 20 percent of global mobile ad spend can be identified as fraud. adjoes AntiFraud team has both validated this number and prevented fraudulent users from entering partners ad spend.
The teams software includes two major components.1) A distributed backend system with modern cloud infrastructure that provides different interfaces to partners.2) A unique mobile SDK that analyzes device features to detect modifications via xposed or magisk.
With no onesizefitsall solution the AntiFraud team works with a large set of features. From detecting attempts based on data with static patterns using proprietary solutions to detect software manipulation marking network traffic abnormalities and identifying when to warn or even block requests.

What You Will Do
- Analyze data from multiple sources (AWS Athena AWS QuickSight Kibana internal dashboards spreadsheets and more) on a regular basis and extract insights from it.
- Investigate reports of suspicious activity reveal fraudulent behavior and product performance by analyzing data reading logs and talking to the engineers in the team.
- Document your findings and communicate them to the team.
- Challenge and contribute to productrelated decisions based on your insights.
- Together with the team design effective and specific rules to combat fraud
Who You Are
- You have a degree in computer science math physics economics analytics or a similar field.
- You have at least 5 years of relevant experience preferably in product companies.
- Youre proficient in SQL.
- You have a strong knowledge of Python R or Julia.
- You have an excellent understanding of data visualization and have experience building dashboards (e.g. QuickSight MS PowerBI Tableau R Shiny Streamlit SuperSet) to showcase analysis results.
- You have great analytical skills and are able to understand an intricate system with multiple asynchronous user flows
- You are curious about cheating: how users try to fool the rules and how to spot these attempts
- Youre excited to work with data and have experience in extracting business insights from it.
- You worked closely with engineers (e.g. investigating how the system works) and are comfortable reading tech documentation.
- Plus: Experience in AdTech or Mobile App analytics
