Job Description
Our customer in the automotive industry has initiated a carveout project to transition an existing unit into an independent company. As part of this project SAP and nonSAP systems will be partially rebuilt adapted and implemented to meet the requirements of the new organization.
To support this initiative we are seeking an experienced Infrastructure and Network Specialist for SAP and nonSAP Systems. This is a fulltime role with an occasional onsite presence in Hanover. The expected project duration is 612 months with the possibility of extension.

Tasks
- Support design setup and configuration of network and server infrastructure to support the carveout. Ensure the infrastructure meets both security and performance standards.
- Design and implement robust scalable and secure network architectures that enable seamless connectivity between SAP and nonSAP systems in the new organization.
- Assist in the migration of infrastructure components (servers networks etc.) from the legacy system to the new infrastructure ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Continuously monitor the performance of the infrastructure and networks identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with the IT Security Expert to ensure that network and infrastructure security protocols are aligned with overall project security measures. Support the deployment of firewalls VPNs and other security tools.
- Provide handson support for network and infrastructure issues troubleshooting hardware software and connectivity problems during and after the carveout.
- Work closely with other project teams (including SAP consultants business analysts and vendors) to ensure that infrastructure and network solutions align with the projects goals.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all infrastructure setups network configurations and system migrations. Ensure clear accurate records of all configurations and changes.Change Management: Support the change management process ensuring that any modifications to the infrastructure or network configurations are properly reviewed and documented
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in infrastructure and network management with a strong background in largescale IT projects and system migrations.
- Proficiency in network design configuration and troubleshooting firewalls routing/switching and SDWAN.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure) and virtualization technologies to support the flexible infrastructure requirements of the carveout.
- Experience with integrating and migrating complex systems including SAP and nonSAP solutions ensuring seamless interoperability between legacy and new environments.
- Familiarity with security standards protocols and best practices with experience in integrating security measures into infrastructure and network designs.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and experience resolving infrastructure and networkrelated issues in a complex multisystem environment.
- Experience working in crossfunctional teams on largescale transformation or carveout projects with strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively work with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Languages: Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of German is a plus.
