Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Workshop Technician Assistant on a 3month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 16.62 21.92 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Distribute and arrange the storage of materials and equipment for workshops and assist in pricing ordering and stock control where appropriate
- Assisting all colleagues in Workshops/Fleet including bodybuilder/spraying/running repairs/LGV & HGV technicians to complete tasks
- Keeping all Workshop areas clean and tidy and where appropriate test and maintain workshop equipment in compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Loading and operating various equipment and machinery with training and supervision
Qualifications:
- Mechanical knowledge gained from an any previous training or experiences this could be from working in the automotive industry or an engineering/mechanical workplace or just a passion for mechanical related hobbies
- Willing to support colleagues and the overall team with a proactive and hands on attitude
Experience:
- The ability to follow instructions and read technical information
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Working as part of a team

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
